When we at Monteur ask "What is tastiness?" our continual quest is for the best "ingredients and production method" and "safety and trust" in our confectioneries. But we also have another big theme, "the environment."

As a business and a member of the society and for each of our employees as well, we must deal with environmental protection, pollution, low-emission control, reducing loss, recycling, energy efficiency and other issues. At the moment, although we have made the first step on a long journey, we are determined to work harder to create a better environment with newer and better ideas.

(1)Emission control

(3)Environmental pollution

1) Use of low-emission bags/containers
  • Elimination of PVC sheet, OPS, which are a burden on the environment
2) Pollution and disposal measures for currently unrecyclable water (measures against pollution)
  • Waste disposal by high thermal incinerator for dioxin measures
3) Sewage disposal
  • Set up newest sewage disposal unit. Plant water sewage, for BOD(Biochemical oxygen demand) control, reduced 10 mg/L.
  • This water was used as sprinkling water for plants or roofs, air conditioning exterior units and contributed to saving water and energy efficiency.

(4)Energy efficiency

1) Saving electric power and gas
  • Set up air conditioning by gas heat pump.
  • Set up energy efficient lighting.
  • In addition, energy efficiency measures such as human sensors and other devices now being planned to eliminate waste and contribute to energy conservation.
  • Tsukuba factory adopted the co-generation system of electricity by using LNG, eco-friendly gas.
